Press Release: Soft-Aid Consultants David Yashar and Normand Bleau to present at 2007 IAITAM Conference (11/7 - 11/9/07)

WOBURN, Mass., October 19, 2007 – Soft-Aid, a leading provider of Software Asset Management (SAM) consulting services, announced today that Managing Consultant David Yashar and Senior SAM Consultant Normand Bleau will each present at the 2007 IAITAM conference, being held November 7 through 9, in Palm Springs, California.
Mr. Yashar will present an overview and comparison of the ITIL SAM framework, the ISO 19770-1 standard for SAM, and IAITAM’s own library of IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices. He will outline the unique characteristics, objectives and deliverables of each model; he will also address how to put them to effective use for objectives that range from a SAM practice assessment to implementing a program of effective SAM practices. Attendees to his session will leave with a greater appreciation of how these SAM models differ and complement one another and how to apply them in their organizations.

Mr. Bleau will provide practical information on how to prepare for and manage internal reviews and external audits of software licenses and deployments. He will provide an overview of reviews and audits, explain their key components, and describe the phases of the audit/review process. Mr. Bleau will also provide additional specific guidance for responding to an external audit.

The annual IAITAM conference is widely regarded in the industry as a premier event for IT Asset Managers seeking to increase their job skills and knowledge. The conference provides practical information on a wide variety of ITAM related topics from recognized experts in the field.

“We are excited to be presenting at the conference,” said David Yashar, Managing Consultant of Soft-Aid. “This is a great opportunity for IT Asset Managers to sharpen their skills and increase their know-how, through attending the seminars and discussing IT Asset Management with their peers.”
